tea with trees - set 1

two tea bowls – one for you, one for a tree friend.

the tree bowl sits wide and low, so the tea can cool to a comfortable temperature before reaching the roots. your bowl holds the warmth in.

both are thrown from dark stoneware clay — heavy in the hand, grounding, rooting you back into the earth. the rims are shaped by hand, each one tracing the uneven rhythm of tree bark.

the glaze is a deep, stony grey. when you look closer, a subtle spiral appears beneath the surface — brown, almost pink — a detail that emerged naturally during firing.

human bowl: 400ml. tree bowl: 200ml. fired to 1240°C.
