tea with trees - set 3
tea with trees - set 3
Description
two tea bowls – one for you, one for a tree friend.
both are thrown from dark stoneware clay. they are heavy in the hand, grounding, rooting you back into the earth. the rims trace the uneven rhythm of tree bark.
stone grey glaze covers the upper part of the bowls. when you look closer, a subtle spiral appears beneath the surface, a detail that emerged naturally from the layering of the glaze.
the higher bowl is sized for two hands and a moment of stillness. the shallower one opens wide for the tree, so their tea can cool while yours stays warm.

your bowl: 400ml. tree bowl: 200ml.

Stoneware, fired to 1240°C.
Care
Everyday care
- Hand wash with warm water and a mild soap; avoid harsh or abrasive detergents..
- Rinse and dry thoroughly after each use. Do not leave to soak or air dry wet.
- Dishwasher and microwave use is not recommended, as repeated heat cycles can affect the glaze over time.
Natural variations
Because these pieces are handmade, small natural irregularities in texture, colour, or surface detail are normal and part of what makes each piece unique. Photos are taken in natural light to represent colours as accurately as possible, though pieces may appear slightly different in person.
Some pieces feature crackled glaze, pinholes or areas where the glaze sits more thinly over the clay. This is a characteristic of the firing process and the handmade nature of each piece.
A note on durability
Stoneware is dense and durable, while earthenware is a little more delicate by nature. Like all ceramics, both can chip or crack if dropped or knocked against hard surfaces. With gentle care, they'll serve you well for a long time.
